Following a direct hit of a Coronal Mass Ejection (CME) there was a spectacular display of the Aurora Borealis, more commonly know as the Northern Lights. At the time of the geomagnetic storm the KP levels were at 8 or more, strong enough for sighting of the Aurora as far south as England. Armed with my Sony Nex5 camera I went up the hill, away from light pollution and looked north. There is was…a dream come true!
