Aurora Photos from Arran, Scotland

Following a direct hit of a Coronal Mass Ejection (CME) there was a spectacular display of the Aurora Borealis, more commonly know as the Northern Lights. At the time of the geomagnetic storm the KP levels were at 8 or more, strong enough for sighting of the Aurora as far south as England. Armed with my Sony Nex5 camera I went up the hill, away from light pollution and looked north. I’m gonna show You how Great I am!

Every so often you come across something that just give you that extra push towards what your aiming for. Might be a word of encouragement, a smile from someone, some music, or nowadays it can even be motivational clips from youtube. I’ve see one or two that really get me firing on all cylinders! And I’ll share them here along with a couple of quotes which I think really are true. “Life’s battles don’t always go to the stronger or faster man. But sooner or later the man who wins, is the man who thinks he can.” “You can never cross the ocean unless you have the courage to lose sight of the shore.” The second one is very apt for a swimmer! I do regard myself as a “self-starter”, someone who gets up in the morning and does things without being told what he has to do, I have dreams, desires, ambition. I’ve worked hard to reach some goals but didn’t quite make it, not always through a fault of my own but the key is to not get down trodden. Sometimes your dreams might not come true first, second or even third time round but if you know you have tried, then you haven’t really failed, the dream can still come true.
